Aadhar card is a very important identification document for Indian citizens. Similarly, registration of your mobile number with Aadhar card is also important. If you have not registered your mobile number with Aadhar card you cannot download Aadhar card online.

Below we have mentioned two steps which can help you how to register mobile number in Aadhar card.

Visit Aadhar Card Centre

If you want to add or register mobile number to Aadhar card for the first time, then you have to go to your nearest Aadhar centre.

For the first time, you can only register your mobile number with Aadhar card by visiting Aadhar centre.

After the registration of your mobile, you will be able to update your Aadhar card online in future. You can update your name, birth date, address, email ID and mobile number.

Fill Aadhar Card Data Update/Correction Form

You can fill Aadhar data update/correction form only if, you link your mobile number with Aadhar card. Once you successfully complete this task, further you have to fill Aadhar card correction form online from UIDAI website, which is the official website of Aadhar card.

Then, fill all the necessary details in this form, like name, address, sex, mobile number, email ID and birth date. Then, recheck this form once again to verify that whatever you have written in the form is absolutely correct.

Attach Valid Identity Proof Copies

Now, attach self-attested copies of valid identity proofs like PAN Card, voter ID, Driving License, passport or electricity bill etc.

Biometric Verification

Now you will get a date for the appointment so that the officials could collect your biometric details. Here, your biometric details will be taken like thumb and fingerprint impression to authenticate the application. After all this, you will get confirmation slip of your biometrics match.

Now, you will have to wait for the 10 days to see changes in your Aadhar card. The minimum days required for updating of Aadhar card is five days. After five days, you can check whether your Aadhar card gets an update or not. Most of the time changes are reflected within 5 days.
